In 1999, nestled in Matsushiro, Nagano, stands a striking pyramid-shaped institution known as the private Voltstein Academy. Because of the relentless supernatural events that plague its grounds, it has earned the widespread nickname of the Occult Academy. The school's dean dedicates his life to researching these paranormal mysteries, while the student body pursues their daily studies with remarkable zeal. Everything changes when the dean suddenly passes away, prompting the arrival of his daughter, Kumashiro Maya. Unlike her father, Maya harbors a deep disdain for anything related to the occult and arrives at the academy determined to confront its bizarre legacy. Her plans are quickly upended by an unexpected encounter with Uchida Fumiaki, a self-proclaimed time agent from the year 2012 who possesses the unusual ability to bend spoons. As Maya and Fumiaki navigate a series of increasingly strange phenomena throughout the campus, they form an unlikely partnership. Together, they uncover the hidden truths behind the academy's supernatural disturbances and ultimately discover the true purpose behind Fumiaki's journey back to 1999.
