Murasaki Otobe is an unremarkable high school student who spends her days reading and quietly accepting her role as a mere background character. Academically and athletically average, she prefers to blend into the scenery rather than stand out. This self-imposed invisibility extends to her feelings toward Akiko Fujimi, the radiant classmate who effortlessly commands everyone’s attention. For reasons Murasaki cannot entirely explain, she harbors a quiet dislike for the popular girl, keeping her distance while observing from the sidelines. Everything shifts when Murasaki unexpectedly joins the gardening committee alongside Akiko. Instead of the aloof figure she imagined, Akiko proves to be warm and approachable, speaking to her with genuine friendliness. Before long, Murasaki finds herself falling deeply in love. As she searches for a way to bridge the gap between them, fate intervenes: she stumbles upon Akiko weeping alone after a painful breakup. Suddenly, the invisible mob character is faced with the chance to step into the spotlight of someone else's life. This girls' love comedy follows the unlikely bond between an ordinary girl and a dazzling classmate whose future holds unexpected challenges.
