Fujie is a serious, straight-laced university student whose primary concern lately revolves around Haruki Ooshima, a flashy and seemingly frivolous man who has grown uncomfortably close to his best friend, Yoshida. To make matters worse, whispers have begun circulating across campus that Ooshima is gay, fueling even louder rumors that he and Yoshida are secretly dating. Convinced that such a man is entirely unworthy of his best friend, Fujie confronts them both about the gossip, only to be met with hearty laughter and a firm denial. He soon discovers that Yoshida had previously sought romantic advice from Ooshima rather than coming to him, leaving Fujie deeply stung by the unexpected betrayal. Determined to distance himself, Fujie begins treating Ooshima with open disdain and cold indifference. Yet, instead of backing away, Ooshima inexplicably starts seeking him out, interacting with him far more than necessary. The tension reaches a breaking point when, during a moment of vulnerability while Fujie is feeling low, Ooshima suddenly steals his first kiss. What follows is an unlikely dynamic between a flirtatious, physically affectionate man and a rigid, bespectacled intellectual. As these two polar opposites gradually inch closer together, their relationship blossoms into a slow, lingering romance.
