She does it all for one simple reason: to ensure the happiness of her beloved pet cat, Nagi. However, her carefully maintained world is shattered when Nagi suddenly vanishes without a trace. Driven by an overwhelming desire to see her cherished companion just one more time, Kawai embarks on a desperate search, plunging into uncertainty as she tries to find the missing feline who meant everything to her. This beautifully crafted anthology weaves together several poignant narratives centered around women and the cats they hold dear. From the frantic search for a lost pet to memories of a cat once owned, and even a journey across an island in pursuit of a feline companion, each tale offers a distinct yet deeply resonant experience. Through these varied circumstances, the collection delicately explores the complex emotional landscapes of five different women. Their inner struggles, hidden sorrows, and quiet hopes are masterfully expressed through their profound bonds with their cats, resulting in an elegant compilation of short stories that captures the intricate depths of the human heart.
