Malicious Code

An ordinary morning takes a violent turn when the bus carrying Hiiro is suddenly ambushed, leaving him stranded in Tokyo—a metropolis that was meant to remain permanently sealed off from the outside world. Thrust into this forbidden city, he quickly discovers that he is not alone. Scattered throughout the urban ruins are others who share his defining trait: a striking red eye. These individuals are carriers of the Pandora Virus, and upon finding one another, they form an uneasy alliance, recognizing each other as comrades bound by the same mysterious affliction. However, their fragile solidarity is immediately tested as they find themselves besieged by relentless attacks from all directions. The hostility directed toward them is neither random nor senseless; it is deeply rooted in the very biology they carry. The true motive behind the unending violence lies hidden within the genetic makeup of Hiiro and his fellow virus carriers. As they fight for survival in a sealed city that holds them captive, they must unravel the dangerous secret encoded in their own DNA before they are hunted down completely.
