For the young warrior Thane and the novice priestess Seraphine, the ancient destruction of Kastuul on the Island of Lodoss was merely a forgotten legend. Their quiet lives in a peaceful village are shattered forever when the sky turns a violent crimson and an army of ghouls descends upon their home. In a single night, everything they hold dear is reduced to ash and ruin. Behind this sudden assault lurks a terrifying force: a powerful wraith, guided by a loyal underling, searching for a suitable vessel to inhabit. Drawn by her spiritual purity, the undead entity targets Seraphine as its ultimate prize. Severely wounded and unable to fight, Thane can only watch in agony as the woman he loves is torn away from him. Refusing to surrender to despair, the devastated warrior makes a solemn vow to avenge his fallen companions and reclaim Seraphine. His desperate oath ignites an epic struggle against the forces of darkness, setting the stage for a harrowing battle as ancient sorcery rises once more to consume the living world.
