The Gwichon Village Mystery

Years after the passing of his grandmother, Mumyeong Heo decides to retreat to her old home in the quiet countryside. Seeking a period of peace and solitude, he arrives at the rural property only to make an unsettling discovery: despite being vacant for years, the house has been meticulously maintained by an unknown caretaker. This strange detail marks the beginning of an uneasy stay in a village that seems determined to keep its secrets hidden. His attempt to settle into the tranquil environment is quickly met with hostility from the local residents. Rather than welcoming him, his new neighbors treat his presence with open disdain, making it abundantly clear that they want nothing to do with him and wish he would leave their isolated community. The atmosphere grows increasingly tense as Mumyeong finds himself entirely unwelcome among the very people who surround him. However, the situation takes a dark and unexpected turn when the hostile villagers begin vanishing one by one. As those who opposed his arrival mysteriously disappear, Mumyeong is drawn deeper into the sinister undercurrents of the rural settlement. Whether these sudden absences are a stroke of fortune or a sign of something far more ominous remains to be seen, leaving him trapped in a chilling mystery where no one can be trusted.
