Shuukatsu Roommate

Twenty-nine-year-old Hikari Asano is on the verge of beginning a new chapter alongside her emotionally abusive husband. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she rescues Sayoko, a regular customer from her part-time job, after the elderly woman collapses in the street. Though separated by decades and vastly different circumstances, the two women discover a profound shared truth: both have spent their lives quietly enduring hardship for the sake of others. Bound by this unspoken understanding, they form an unlikely connection that transcends age and background. What follows is the most liberating and joyful approach to end-of-life planning imaginable. Through their growing bond, Sayoko and Hikari find the courage to break free from the expectations that have long confined them. Together, they embark on a heartfelt journey of renewal, proving that it is never too late to embrace freedom and begin again.
