In this world, children are occasionally born bearing the physical traits of mythical creatures. Pointed elven ears, imposing dwarven physiques, and sharp oni horns are common sights on any given street. Yet despite their legendary appearances, these individuals possess none of the supernatural abilities traditionally associated with their respective lineages. No one understands this frustrating reality better than Kazamori, a high school student who looks exactly like an elf but lacks any capacity for magic. Because her appearance sets such lofty expectations, Kazamori has spent her life carefully concealing her inability to cast spells. Maintaining this facade has allowed her to navigate her daily life without drawing unwanted scrutiny. However, her carefully constructed secret is threatened when an ordinary human boy discovers the truth about her condition. Unlike those born with mythical features, he has found a way to wield his own unique form of science-based magic. Now that her hidden vulnerability has been exposed to someone capable of genuine power, Kazamori faces a daunting new challenge. As a young woman trying to survive the everyday pressures of high school while appearing as a creature of legend, she must figure out how to handle the one person who knows she is not what she seems.
