Momoko Sugisaki is a dedicated childcare worker employed by the Little Snow Sick Child Care Service, an organization that provides in-home daycare for children who are too unwell to attend their regular schools. Despite her deep commitment to her work, Momoko faces significant personal hurdles. She struggles to project warm and pleasant facial expressions, a challenge that can make it difficult to connect with the anxious families she serves. More profoundly, she constantly wrestles with a delicate professional dilemma: determining when it is appropriate to bend established rules if doing so genuinely serves the best interests of a sick child in her care. As Momoko navigates these daily challenges, she begins to confront her own limitations and grow both personally and professionally. Her journey is defined by quiet perseverance as she learns to balance strict workplace guidelines with genuine compassion. Through this ongoing process of self-discovery, she gradually transforms into a vital source of support for her clients. Ultimately, Momoko’s dedication allows her to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the vulnerable young children and the stressed parents who rely on her guidance during their most difficult moments.
