Occultic;Nine

From the creator behind Steins;Gate, Chaos;Head, Robotics;Notes, and Chaos;Child comes a thrilling light novel that has also been adapted into a hit anime. Yuta Gamon is a young man living in Kichijoji who operates an occult-themed blog called Kirikiri Basara. Rather than genuinely believing in the supernatural, he spends his days chasing the dream of striking it rich through affiliate marketing revenue. When asked if he believes in ghosts, his answer is an emphatic no. However, Yuta’s dismissive attitude toward the paranormal is soon challenged when his seemingly trivial blog inadvertently draws together the fates of nine complete strangers. What begins as a faint, unsettling sensation that something is wrong rapidly escalates into a sprawling mystery far beyond anything they could have imagined. As these nine individuals become entangled in one another's lives, they are thrust into a world overflowing with supposed phenomena: black magic, the afterlife, psychic abilities, fortune-telling, alternate dimensions, prophecies, hypnosis, and urban legends. Despite Yuta’s firm conviction that the world is nothing more than a stage for frauds and charlatans, the bizarre events surrounding him force the group to confront terrifying mysteries that blur the line between deception and reality.
