Gin no Kawa ni Hoshino no Shiro

Deep within the farthest reaches of the universe, a magnificent castle drifts through the endless void of space. This floating fortress serves as the royal residence for a revered queen, safeguarded by a dedicated community of inhabitants who have devoted their lives to her protection. Within this isolated celestial domain, every resident plays a specific role in maintaining the delicate balance of their extraordinary home. Among them is Kurukuru, a young man tasked with the grim and unglamorous duty of serving as the castle's corpse disposal officer. Confined to the shadows of his morbid profession, he operates far beneath the notice of the royal court, carrying out his responsibilities in quiet obscurity. His daily existence is defined by routine and solitude, keeping him worlds apart from the grandeur of the castle's elite. However, fate intervenes when an unexpected encounter forever alters the trajectory of his life. Against all odds, Kurukuru crosses paths with the very queen he was never meant to approach, sparking an unlikely friendship between two individuals separated by vast differences in status. As this unforeseen bond begins to take shape, the rigid boundaries of their floating world are challenged, setting the stage for a remarkable story that neither of them could have ever anticipated.
