3 Intestine Road, Fish Island

Set within the surreal and confined environment of a giant fish's stomach, 3 Intestine Road, Fish Island follows the daily existence of an unconventional family. This unique household consists of three distinct members: a pig, a fish, and a tadpole. Together, they have carved out a quiet life inside their unusual biological home, navigating the strange realities of residing within the belly of a massive creature. Their peaceful routine represents a delicate balance maintained in an inherently bizarre world. The fragile stability of this peculiar domestic arrangement is suddenly shattered when an unexpected object breaches their sanctuary. A solitary fruit drifts into the interior of the great fish, arriving as a foreign anomaly in their enclosed habitat. This seemingly simple intrusion acts as a catalyst for profound disruption, turning the lives of the pig, the fish, and the tadpole entirely upside down. The arrival of the fruit forces the unlikely family to confront sudden upheaval, transforming their familiar surroundings into a landscape of uncertainty and change. This imaginative animated short film was produced as a 2022 graduate work at the Tokyo University of the Arts.
