Shanshen Yu Xiaozao

Xiaozao is a young woman burdened by a tragic affliction: she inadvertently brings misfortune to everyone around her. Unable to live a normal life among others, she is ultimately forced to take refuge in the God of Mountains Temple, a sacred sanctuary inhabited by an actual deity. It is within this isolated setting that she comes face to face with the mountain god himself, a divine being she originally encountered during her childhood. As Xiaozao spends time in the temple, a startling revelation comes to light. The encounters from her youth suggest that it was the mountain god who placed the curse upon her, condemning her to a life of unintentional calamity. Yet, despite this painful history and the hardship his actions have caused, an unexpected bond begins to form between the cursed girl and the immortal being. What starts as a complicated dynamic rooted in past grievances gradually transforms into genuine affection. As their feelings deepen, both Xiaozao and the mountain god come to realize that the origins of their romance are far older than they ever imagined. Their love story did not begin at the temple, but rather traces back to a connection forged much earlier in their intertwined pasts.
