The First Murder

“We’re murderers.” Mayu is an ordinary student navigating the halls of a prestigious all-girls high school, where she spends her days enjoying a peaceful and fulfilling routine alongside her two closest friends, Otoha and Yu. For a time, their lives seem perfectly normal, bound by the simple comforts of youth and companionship. However, that tranquility shatters when Mayu and Yu accidentally stumble upon a deeply unsettling scene. They witness Otoha locked in a heated argument with their homeroom teacher, a confrontation that escalates until Otoha violently pushes the instructor to the ground. The teacher falls completely motionless, appearing to have lost consciousness entirely. Desperate to maintain control of the situation, Otoha quickly insists that the woman has merely fainted. Yet, as the three girls stand over the unmoving body, a chilling uncertainty takes hold. What began as a quiet school life now teeters on the edge of an irreversible crime, forcing Mayu to question whether her friend’s explanation is the truth—or a desperate cover-up for something far more sinister.
