Nukdaecheoreom Hollo

Set against the fading twilight of the Joseon era, a remote village rests precariously along the borders where Joseon, Russia, and China converge. In this isolated frontier, an aging man named Mu Myeong lives out his remaining days in quiet obscurity. Long ago, he buried a deeply violent past, choosing to let his former life fade into silence as he waits for the end. His fragile peace is shattered when a pale Russian girl, her skin as stark and white as a birch branch, unexpectedly enters his world. Her sudden arrival forces Mu Myeong to confront the darkness he swore to leave behind. For her sake, the old man willingly descends back into the inferno of his former existence, drawing upon the brutal strength he once sought to forget. As he wades through violence once more, his blade cuts through the chaos like the last light of dusk reflecting across a sea of blood. Yet danger lingers in every shadow of this unforgiving borderland, and even the familiar birch branches offer no sanctuary or trust. To protect the girl, Mu Myeong must embrace the monster he used to be, walking alone into the slaughter.
