Sparks Fly

Saetbyeol has always carried an overwhelming burden. As an omega who harbors a deep resentment toward alphas, he constantly struggles against the expectations placed upon him. His personal life offers no refuge; his mother is a persistent source of chaos, and his high school boyfriend treats him poorly. Exhausted by these relentless pressures, Saetbyeol makes a drastic decision immediately after graduation. He vanishes without a trace, determined to build a quiet, independent life far removed from the people who caused him so much pain. For a time, his escape seems successful, but his carefully constructed peace shatters when he unexpectedly crosses paths with Hyeontae. Hyeontae is a figure from Saetbyeol’s past—someone he had been deliberately avoiding for years. On the surface, their reunion appears harmless. Hyeontae presents himself as a beta, seemingly interested in nothing more than offering genuine friendship and support. Yet, beneath this reassuring facade, lingering questions remain. As their lives intertwine once more, Saetbyeol must confront whether Hyeontae truly is the safe companion he claims to be, or if there is something far more complicated hiding behind his gentle demeanor.
