Kakukazoku

Once a close-knit household, the family at the center of Kakukazoku has slowly drifted into painful estrangement. Emotional distance and unresolved tensions have pushed each member further apart, leaving their home fractured and their bonds nearly severed. As the family teeters on the edge of complete collapse, the son watches helplessly, burdened by a desperate longing to restore what they have lost. He yearns for the days when they were truly connected, wishing for nothing more than a chance to heal the widening rift between them. That quiet plea takes an extraordinary turn during a meteor shower, when the cosmos unexpectedly answers his heartfelt desire. The son wishes simply for his family to grow together again, hoping for emotional reconciliation and renewed closeness. However, the universe grants this request in a startlingly literal fashion, twisting his innocent hope into a bizarre physical reality. Instead of mending their hearts through conventional means, the family finds themselves bound by an inexplicable phenomenon that forces them to merge and grow as one entity. This surreal transformation upends their lives entirely, presenting a unique challenge where repairing their broken relationships becomes inseparable from navigating their strange new existence.
