Tsumasaki ni Kourozu

Iwai is an unremarkable college student whose life takes an unexpected turn when he is suddenly offered a part-time position as an assistant to Murota, a professional mycologist. At first glance, Murota appears to be a temperamental and withdrawn man, making their initial working relationship somewhat strained. However, as they spend more time together, the dynamic between them begins to shift. Iwai discovers a genuine fascination with the previously unknown world of fungi that Murota studies, and he finds himself increasingly drawn to the quiet moments they share in the laboratory. Beyond his growing academic curiosity, Iwai naturally assumes the role of caretaker, stepping in whenever Murota neglects his own well-being in pursuit of his research. What begins as simple responsibility gradually transforms into something far more personal. The comfort and joy Iwai once felt in his daily routine are slowly overshadowed by a quiet sense of unease. As his attachment deepens, he is forced to confront an unsettling realization: his feelings for the reclusive mycologist have evolved beyond mere admiration or professional duty, blossoming into an emotional depth he never anticipated.
