Night of Ease

Decorated war hero and army captain Fedele Aske carries the heavy burden of his traumatic past, tormented by lingering ghosts that rob him of rest. Plagued by relentless insomnia, he finds solace only in the physical warmth of a woman sharing his bed each night. However, this coping mechanism takes a dangerous turn when one of his intimate companions is exposed as an enemy spy, introducing a severe security threat into the heart of his camp. Acting swiftly to protect military intelligence, Princess Igraine—serving as his trusted military adviser—imposes a strict prohibition, forbidding Fedele from bringing any more women into his tent. Yet this necessary precaution comes at a steep cost. Without his nightly remedy, the captain’s exhaustion deepens rapidly, severely degrading his tactical sharpness and combat prowess on the battlefield where his leadership is most vital. Faced with the grim reality of her champion deteriorating under the weight of sleeplessness, Igraine realizes that conventional solutions have been exhausted. To preserve his strength and ensure their continued success in the war, the princess makes a bold decision. She resolves to take matters into her own hands, stepping in to personally soothe his haunted nights and ease his restless torment.
