When Souma is transferred from his company's Tokyo office to its Kyoto branch, he expects a routine relocation. However, his new living arrangements take an unexpected turn on the very day he moves in. The landlord’s son, Amane, returns home just as Souma is settling into his new space, and the two suddenly find themselves sharing a roof as roommates. For Souma, who believes that people living together should naturally get along, this setup presents an ideal opportunity for camaraderie. Amane, however, proves to be anything but welcoming. He maintains a distinctly aloof demeanor, keeping Souma at arm's length and showing little interest in building any kind of friendly rapport. Souma struggles to bridge the emotional distance between them, unsure of how to navigate his roommate's cold exterior. Yet, everything shifts when Souma accidentally witnesses Amane in tears.
