Asahina-san no Bentou Tabetai

High school student Seiya Maki experiences an unexpected awakening when he catches a glimpse of the lunch prepared by Arisa Asahina, the most beautiful girl in his class. Rather than being captivated by her appearance alone, Seiya finds himself utterly drawn to her unappealing, poorly made bento box. Driven by this unusual fascination, he approaches her with a bizarre confession: he asks her to date him simply because he wants to eat her homemade lunches. Initially taking his words as nothing more than a tasteless joke, Arisa rejects his advance in frustration. Despite her harsh dismissal, Seiya’s earnest sincerity and genuine kindness gradually begin to break through Arisa’s defenses. As he patiently supports her through various personal struggles, she finds herself growing increasingly interested in the boy behind the strange request. However, their developing bond is soon complicated when Arisa stumbles upon a deeply guarded secret that Seiya has never shared with anyone else. This revelation forces both teenagers to confront the true nature of their feelings and the hidden reasons behind Seiya’s peculiar attraction to her cooking. As they navigate the complexities of vulnerability and trust, their connection is pushed toward an uncertain future. Ultimately, their journey unfolds into a beautifully bittersweet coming-of-age romance about understanding, acceptance, and the quiet ways people draw closer to one another.
