Bitter Candy

After discovering her fiancé’s betrayal in the very bed they shared, Geurim abandons her life abroad and returns to Korea with a single resolution: she is finished with men. Exhausted by a relentless pattern of disastrous relationships, she swears off romance entirely, determined to protect herself from further heartbreak. Her plan for a quiet, uncomplicated fresh start seems foolproof until an unexpected complication moves directly across the hall. Mo Taegyeong, her brother’s closest friend, has just settled into the neighboring apartment. His presence alone would be enough to test her resolve, but their history makes the situation infinitely more volatile. Acting on pure impulse just before her flight home, Geurim spent one unforgettable night with him—a reckless decision she desperately wants to leave behind. She knows that entangling herself with her brother’s best friend is a guaranteed catastrophe, yet ignoring him proves far more difficult than she anticipated. Taegyeong, however, has no interest in letting their encounter remain a fleeting memory. Armed with effortless charm and a captivating intensity he refuses to suppress, he makes his intentions clear. While Geurim fights to uphold her vow against romance, Taegyeong is equally determined to ensure she doesn’t walk away from him a second time.
