Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora

During the winter, Yuichi's life takes a turn when he is hospitalized with hepatitis. Despite his weakened state, he frequently attempts to escape from the hospital, only to be thwarted by the nurse's firm hand. It is during one of these failed escape attempts that he meets Rika, a young girl from the adjacent building, who is equally fascinated by his arrival. As their paths continue to cross, Yuichi finds himself drawn to Rika's captivating beauty, but is soon disarmed by her selfish and manipulative nature. However, Rika's true vulnerability is revealed when she confides in Yuichi about her terminal illness, shattering his perception of her and forcing him to confront the reality of her mortality.
