Hinako Momotsuki appears to be an ordinary high school girl, but her true passion lies far beyond the classroom walls. As a devoted otaku, she channels all of her energy into her favorite anime series, Puri Puri, living for the thrill of fandom and the comfort of fictional worlds. However, her everyday life is shattered when she unexpectedly bonds with a mysterious centipede-like entity known as a Maji. This bizarre fusion transforms Hinako into something entirely unforeseen—a distorted hero burdened with extraordinary abilities and an unsettling new form. Thrust into a dangerous conflict she never asked for, Hinako must now navigate a double life that starkly contrasts with her carefree otaku existence. Her town has fallen under siege by hostile Maji creatures, forcing her to step up as its unlikely protector. Amidst the chaos and monstrous battles, her deepest motivation remains deeply personal. She fights not only to save her community from destruction but also to shield Himoru-senpai, the upperclassman who holds her unrequited affection. Caught between her obsessive love for anime and the grim reality of her newfound powers, Hinako must embrace her twisted heroic role to protect everything she holds dear.
