Lady Lydia's Beautiful Determination Betrayed, and Set on Breaking Off an Engagement

Raised as the daughter of a Marquis, Lady Lydia has devoted her entire life to a singular purpose: supporting the royal family with unwavering dedication. From childhood, she embraced her responsibilities and prepared herself to be the perfect noblewoman, believing that her steadfast loyalty and refined upbringing would secure her place within the kingdom's highest circles. Her engagement to Rogerio was meant to be the culmination of that lifelong commitment, binding her future directly to the crown she so deeply revered. Yet everything begins to unravel when Rogerio directs his romantic affections toward a lowly noble aide serving the princess. Rather than fulfilling their obligations to the realm, the two grow increasingly intimate while neglecting their official duties. When Lydia attempts to address this troubling behavior, she is shocked to find herself cast not as a concerned fiancée, but as the villain of the situation. Those around her treat her valid grievances as mere malice, twisting her devotion into something ugly. Betrayed by the man she was promised to and alienated by the very court she swore to protect, Lydia finds her legendary patience finally exhausted. With her impeccable manners pushed to their absolute limit, she resolves to take decisive action. No longer willing to endure humiliation in silence, she sets her sights on formally breaking off the engagement.
