Amelia, the devoted daughter of a marquis, has spent years rigorously training to fulfill her role as the future crown princess. However, her world is upended when her fiancé, the crown prince, abruptly announces that he has found his true soulmate. Rather than simply breaking their engagement, he demands that Amelia step aside and become his concubine, forcing her to shoulder the grueling duties of the crown princess while his beloved takes the title. Refusing to be manipulated and discarded so callously, Amelia devises a plan to secure her independence through a new marriage. She sets her sights on Loire, a powerful magician celebrated as a national hero for saving the country during a desperate war. As a reward for his service, he is granted the right to choose a bride, and Amelia boldly approaches him with a proposal. Instead of dismissing her, Loire playfully challenges her to win his heart, agreeing to the arrangement. Determined to build a genuinely loving partnership from this contractual union, Amelia begins visiting her enigmatic new fiancé. What follows is a heartwarming romantic fantasy chronicling the blossoming affection between an earnest young noblewoman and a brilliant but troubled mage.
