When Outa was forced to transfer middle schools, he confided in his closest friend, Tomoaki, hoping for a heartfelt farewell. Instead, Tomoaki offered only a dismissive remark, coldly stating that the situation could not be helped. Devastated by the lack of any emotional response, Outa left without saying a proper goodbye, carrying the sting of that indifference with him into the future. Years later, Outa has entered college and resolved to embrace his student life entirely on his own terms, determined to move forward independently. However, his carefully constructed peace is shattered when he unexpectedly crosses paths with Tomoaki—the very person he had hoped never to see again. The reunion leaves Outa deeply uncomfortable, prompting him to actively distance himself from his former best friend. Despite Outa’s clear efforts to avoid him, Tomoaki inexplicably continues to seek him out, persistently initiating conversations and refusing to let the past remain buried. As Tomoaki closes the gap between them once more, Outa finds himself caught in an awkward and unresolved dynamic, forced to confront the lingering tension of their fractured childhood bond.
