Hibike! Euphonium: Kitauji Koukou Suisougakubu e Youkoso

The Kitauji High School wind instrument club was once a powerhouse, celebrated for its past victories at national tournaments. However, following a change in faculty advisors, the ensemble fell into decline, unable to even qualify for regional competitions. The arrival of Taki, stepping in as a substitute for Ms. Rikako, marks a turning point for the struggling group. Under his strict and demanding leadership, the students begin to steadily rebuild their skills and restore the club’s former strength. Yet this path to recovery is fraught with internal tension. As the ensemble improves, fierce rivalries emerge among the members over who will earn the coveted solo parts. Meanwhile, the mounting pressure forces some students to prioritize their academic studies, leading them to abandon club activities altogether. Despite these interpersonal conflicts and departures, the remaining members press forward with unwavering dedication. After enduring rigorous rehearsals and navigating the emotional challenges of high school life, the long-awaited day of the contest finally arrives, testing everything they have worked so hard to achieve.
