Wounded Man

Yuko Kusaka, a Japanese journalist, travels to Brazil to investigate the Amazonian gold rush—a phenomenon rumored to be transforming ordinary prospectors into overnight millionaires. Among the countless garimpeiros working deep within the jungle, whispers point to a Japanese man known only as Rio Baraki. Shortly after Yuko and her crew arrive at their destination, they are ambushed. Her colleague is violently attacked, and she is assaulted as a brutal warning to abandon their investigation and return home immediately. Refusing to be intimidated, Yuko remains in the unforgiving wilderness to pursue her story. She eventually confronts her attacker, discovering he is none other than Baraki himself: a heavily muscled, white-haired man bearing a prominent scar across his back. As she digs deeper into his past, she uncovers his true identity—Keisuke Ibaraki, once a promising quarterback whose life was destroyed when he was falsely framed by a powerful organization known as GPX. Now exiled in the lawless depths of the Amazon, his tragic history becomes the center of her report.
