Pokémon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle

Pokémon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle unfolds within the lush and secluded expanse of Okoya Forest, a pristine Pokémon paradise shielded from the outside world by strict laws that forbid any outsider from entering its borders. Deep within this untouched sanctuary lives Coco, a young boy who was raised entirely by Pokémon. Having grown up immersed in their world, he genuinely considers himself to be one of them, viewing the Mythical Pokémon Zarude as his true father. The narrative takes shape when Ash and Pikachu cross paths with Coco during one of their adventures, bringing the outside world into direct contact with the forest's hidden inhabitant. This unexpected encounter sets the stage for a story that deliberately departs from the franchise's traditional focus on the bond between a human trainer and their Pokémon. Instead, the film explores the compelling premise of a human raised by Pokémon, delving into questions of identity and belonging as Coco navigates the space between the world that nurtured him and the human origins he has never known.
