Akutsu-san wa Oshi ni Niteiru

Akihara has just begun her first year of high school, navigating the unfamiliar halls as a self-described gloomy student who prefers to keep to herself. With little interest in socializing or standing out among her new peers, she finds her only true comfort buried within the pages of her favorite manga. For Akihara, the fictional world provides a much-needed escape from her otherwise quiet and unremarkable daily routine. Everything changes when she crosses paths with a classmate named Akutsu, whose appearance is strikingly identical to Akihara's beloved "oshi"—her absolute favorite character from the series she adores. The resemblance goes far beyond mere looks; Akutsu's height, personality, manner of speaking, and everyday actions perfectly mirror those of the fictional idol Akihara has spent countless hours reading about. Confronted with what feels like a dream brought to life, Akihara finds her solitary existence suddenly upended by this extraordinary coincidence. Unable to ignore the uncanny parallels between her classmate and her treasured character, Akihara begins to pay closer attention to the girl sitting nearby. What follows is a gentle, unhurried story of two students finding their rhythm together, as Akihara and Akutsu embark on a relaxed and heartwarming high school experience shaped by an unexpected connection.
