The Mage Next Door

Within the Magic Realm, mages dedicate themselves to rigorous training in pursuit of absolute mastery over their arcane arts. Toya Osoegawa, however, stands as a glaring exception to this tradition. Rather than striving for greatness, he views magic solely as a convenient tool to secure a relaxed and comfortable lifestyle. His complete lack of ambition has earned him the reputation of being the most unmotivated practitioner in the entire realm, content to simply coast through his days without exerting any real effort. Toya’s peaceful existence is abruptly shattered when the Divine Magus issues a direct command, forcibly dispatching the reluctant mage to the Human Realm. Thrust into an unfamiliar world far from his easy routines, the least driven man in the Magic Realm must now confront responsibilities he never sought. Armed with his highly unconventional and bizarre magical abilities, Toya faces the daunting task of protecting humanity from looming threats. To survive this unexpected assignment and perhaps earn his way back to a life of leisure, he must step up and drive malevolent wizards back to the world they came from, proving that even the laziest mage can rise to the occasion when duty calls.
