Yuusuke Yotsuya, a detached and highly logical third-year middle school student, is abruptly transported into an alternate reality that operates under the rules of a game. Upon his arrival, he is designated as the third player in this unfamiliar system. He is quickly thrust into a perilous quest alongside two of his classmates, Iu Shindo and Kusue Hakozaki, who were pulled into this world before him. Together, they must navigate the treacherous mechanics of their new environment to survive. Unlike most who might panic in such extraordinary circumstances, Yuusuke approaches every challenge with cold calculation. He deliberately rejects emotional decision-making, choosing instead to analyze every variable with clinical detachment. This unfeeling perspective drives him to treat the stakes as mere puzzles to be solved, occasionally even manipulating or toying with the lives of his own companions if it serves his strategic goals.
