The Diary of a Middle-Aged Sage's Carefree Life in Another World

Satoshi Osako is a forty-year-old farmer living a quiet life in rural Japan, though he harbors a secret passion as a dedicated player of the virtual reality role-playing game Swords & Sorceries. When he finally defeats the game’s final boss, the creature unleashes a dying curse that kills him in the real world. Guided by an easygoing goddess, Satoshi is reincarnated into a strange new realm as his own avatar: Zelos Merlin, an overwhelmingly powerful Great Sage. Rather than seeking glory, he resolves to use his extraordinary abilities for a simple goal—establishing another peaceful farming life. Unfortunately, the carefree goddess deposits him deep within a vast and perilous forest, forcing him to fight his way out before any relaxation can begin. His journey toward tranquility is quickly derailed by encounters with bandits, unexpected requests to tutor a young noblewoman in magic, and a series of escalating complications. For this almighty sage, achieving a truly carefree existence may prove to be the most difficult quest of all.
