Orange Kiss

Kijima Aka is haunted by a vivid dream in which she shares a tender kiss beneath the setting sun with a mysterious boy who has striking orange hair. To her astonishment, that very boy turns out to be Shimizu, a classmate sitting right beside her in school. Despite this romantic vision, their everyday reality is far from affectionate. Aka has long believed that Shimizu harbors a deep grudge against her, as his cold demeanor and constant scowls make it seem as though he genuinely despises her presence. Everything changes when fate intervenes, and the two are unexpectedly chosen to serve as class monitors together. Forced into close cooperation, Aka finally discovers the truth behind Shimizu’s harsh exterior, realizing that her assumptions were built entirely on a painful misunderstanding. As they work side by side, the distance between them begins to close, opening the door for the feelings hinted at in her dream to finally take root in reality. Beyond the central story of their evolving relationship, the manga also features charming short stories told from Shimizu’s perspective. These additional chapters offer a heartfelt look into how he truly views Kijima Aka, revealing the hidden emotions he struggles to express and providing a beautifully complete picture of their blossoming romance.
