A Whisker Away

Miyo Sasaki is a spirited high school student navigating life within a fractured family. Her father lacks confidence, and her stepmother's well-meaning but overbearing attempts to bond with her only feel like an intrusion. Seeking solace from these personal struggles, Miyo fixates on her classmate, Kento Hinode, relentlessly showering him with unorthodox displays of affection that he finds difficult to accept. Unable to capture Kento's attention as herself, Miyo discovers a magical means to transform into a white cat. In this feline form, which Kento affectionately names "Tarou," she finally earns his trust and closeness. However, while listening to him confide his deepest worries as a cat, Miyo realizes she is powerless to help him overcome his real-world problems. Trapped between two lives, Miyo faces a heartbreaking dilemma. She must choose whether to remain by Kento's side safely in her cat form or risk losing their fragile bond entirely by revealing her true identity so she can support him as a human being.
