Keiichi Morisato is an entirely unremarkable college student. Struggling to keep up with his coursework and consistently failing to make any impression on women, he drifts through a mundane existence without direction or distinction. His ordinary life takes an extraordinary turn, however, when a simple misdial inadvertently connects him to the Goddess Help Line, summoning the beautiful Norse goddess Belldandy directly into his world. Skeptical that this mysterious visitor truly possesses the divine power to grant any wish he desires, Keiichi jokingly asks for her to remain by his side forever. To his astonishment, the wish is instantly validated. Bound by celestial law, Belldandy is now permanently tethered to Earth as his lifelong companion. What began as an act of disbelief transforms into an inescapable reality, forever altering the destinies of both the profoundly unlucky young man and the remarkably unconventional goddess who has pledged herself to him.
