Happy Land

The Komiya family appears to be the picture of domestic perfection. The parents share a loving marriage, and their two children are healthy, cheerful, and excelling in both academics and extracurricular activities. To the outside world, they are an ideal household with everything going for them. At least, that is the illusion they have maintained—until the father decides to treat his family to a day out at Happyland, an extreme amusement park unlike any other. Beneath the thrill rides and towering attractions of this bizarre destination, the family's carefully constructed facade begins to crack. As they navigate the park's intense experiences, their most shameful and deeply buried secrets are violently dragged into the open, erupting in the most literal and explosive ways imaginable. What was meant to be a simple day of fun rapidly devolves into a horrifying, gory struggle for survival. Created by Shingo Honda, this harrowing tale unfolds across the first of two volumes, transforming a family outing into a nightmare from which there may be no escape.
