Iris on Rainy Days: My Homework

Iris came into existence on a rain-soaked day, her creation steeped in emptiness, lingering regret, and cherished memories. As an android, she is fundamentally bound by her programming to obey her master’s commands and fulfill every request without hesitation. Yet her creator, Professor Umbrella, desires something far deeper than the standard dynamic between a servant and an owner. Rather than settling for mere mechanical obedience, the professor longs for a genuine, intimate connection—one that mirrors the warmth of true human companionship. To bridge the gap between creator and creation, Professor Umbrella actively guides Iris toward developing her own distinct sense of identity. Instead of dictating her every action, the professor encourages the android to take charge of her own personal growth, nurturing an organic bond that transcends their original roles. Through this patient mentorship, Iris begins to explore what it means to exist beyond her initial directives. This narrative chronicles the journey of a mechanical maiden brought to life beneath falling rain. It is a story about those quiet, stormy days and the profound transformations they inspire. Ultimately, it follows Iris as she evolves from a dutiful machine into a tenderhearted young girl, discovering the beauty of free will along the way.
