Rocket Girls

High school student Yukari Morita embarks on a deeply personal journey to the Solomon Islands, driven by a single goal: locating her missing father. Her search takes an extraordinary turn when she is presented with an unprecedented proposition. In exchange for the assistance she desperately needs to track him down, she must agree to become the youngest and lightest astronaut in history. This remarkable offer comes from the Solomon Space Association, an organization seeking individuals whose small stature makes them ideal candidates for their ambitious rocket launches. To fulfill this demanding role, Yukari is joined by her half-sister Matsuri, who shares her petite frame. Together, they form the perfect crew for the association's space program. However, before either girl can reach the stars, they must endure an intense and grueling training regimen. The preparation process is both rigorous and occasionally perilous, testing their physical limits and resolve at every turn. As they navigate these daunting challenges, the sisters must balance the pressures of their hazardous new profession with Yukari’s unwavering determination to uncover the truth about her father’s disappearance.
