Tokyo Kaido

Under the guidance of the eccentric Dr. Tamaki, a series of extraordinary neurological cases converge in Tokyo Kaido. The doctor’s unconventional brain research brings together individuals whose minds have been fundamentally altered by inexplicable conditions. Among them is nineteen-year-old Hashi, who carries a tiny fragment of metal from a car accident lodged deep within his brain. Since the crash, he has lost all ability to filter his thoughts, compelled to voice every emotion and impulse aloud without restraint. Equally affected is twenty-one-year-old Hana, who suffers from sudden, uncontrollable physical climaxes that strike at any moment, even in crowded public spaces. The study also examines six-year-old Mari, whose brain is entirely unable to process or perceive the people around her, leaving her trapped in a solitary existence where no other human being seems to exist. Rounding out the group is ten-year-old Hideo, a boy who insists he possesses superhuman abilities and claims to communicate directly with extraterrestrials and God.
