Kaiki kessakusen

Kaiki kessakusen is a macabre manga anthology that breathes dark significance into seemingly ordinary objects. Through a series of chilling tales, everyday items such as an old pair of girl's shoes, a cursed sword, children's spinning tops, a model train, and a ghost ship become vessels for deeply unsettling narratives. These stories weave together haunting memories of wartime trauma and ancient legends dating back to the earliest, coldest days of human civilization, transforming forgotten relics into carriers of profound dread. At the center of this eerie collection sits the Hannya mask—a demonic visage born from consuming jealousy—resting quietly within the shadows of an aged antique shop. This malevolent entity serves as a silent observer, peering into the darkest corners of the human heart. Having accumulated within the shop since time immemorial, the surrounding artifacts each hold buried secrets that only the mask truly comprehends. As it scrutinizes the moral decay and hidden sins of those who enter, the Hannya reveals the terrifying truths concealed within these cursed possessions, binding the fates of the living to the sinister history of the inanimate.
