Kongou Banchou

Akira Kongou, widely known by his fearsome moniker the "Diamond Delinquent," arrives as a new transfer student at Shiritsu Raimei High School. Despite his intimidating reputation, Akira firmly insists that he is not a banchou—a term used to describe a Japanese student delinquent who leads a gang. He initially attempts to distance himself from such titles, preferring to keep a low profile rather than embrace the violent hierarchy often associated with high school toughs. However, his formidable presence and undeniable strength make it impossible for him to remain on the sidelines for long. Against his own stated wishes, Akira rapidly climbs through the ranks of Shiritsu Raimei High School's internal gang structure. His ascent is swift and unstoppable, ultimately culminating in him claiming the very position he swore he did not want: the leadership of the school's toughest fighters. Now fully entrenched as the top dog, Akira finds himself thrust into a much larger conflict. He must lead his newly acquired followers into intense schoolyard battles against an overwhelming coalition of bullies and punks representing twenty-three neighboring schools. What began as a reluctant transfer has transformed into an all-out war for dominance across the entire district.
