Torikago no Kaguya-hime

Since childhood, Kaguya has possessed a mysterious and formidable power meant to eradicate the monstrous demonic shadows that terrorize her nation. Yet rather than being revered as a savior, she has been branded the "Demon Princess," enduring relentless scorn and torment from those around her. Isolated by fear and misunderstanding, she carries the heavy burden of her abilities in silence, living with deep emotional pain while the very people she was destined to protect turn against her. Her bleak existence takes an unexpected turn when Gion Takakatsu, the commanding officer of the Black Kites—an elite unit dedicated to hunting down demonic shadows—approaches her with a startling proposal. Recognizing the true nature of her strength, he asks Kaguya to enter into a temporary marriage with him. This unprecedented arrangement offers her a chance to step out of her cage of suffering and finally fulfill the purpose of her extraordinary gift. Bound together by duty and necessity, their union sets the stage for a journey where a despised princess may yet become the key to saving a fractured world.
