Konishi-sensei, Shinchoku ikaga desu ka?

Ichika is a rookie manga editor who has just been assigned her most daunting professional challenge yet: managing Konishi-sensei, a wildly popular manga artist with one glaring flaw. Despite his fame and devoted readership, the creator absolutely refuses to work on his manuscripts. Instead of putting pen to paper, Konishi-sensei spends his time obsessing over mobile games, famously declaring that he will not even begin drawing until he manages to pull a rare SSR character from his latest gacha rolls. For Ichika, stepping into this role means facing an uphill battle against an eccentric genius who treats deadlines as mere suggestions. The core conflict revolves around Ichika’s desperate attempts to coax finished pages out of her perpetually distracted mangaka. Armed with little more than her determination and inexperience, she must devise creative strategies to pull him away from his endless procrastination and force him to focus on his actual job. Every excuse is met with a new tactic as the young editor navigates the chaotic reality of the publishing industry, trying to keep both the serialization schedule and her own sanity intact. This series is the full serialization of a highly acclaimed one-shot, brought to life by the original creator of Nyan Koi! It delivers a comedic look at the behind-the-scenes struggles of manga production through the eyes of a dedicated newcomer and her impossible mentor.
