The Beast Player

Ten-year-old Erin lives with her mother, Soyon, in the Tai Koh Region. Possessing a profound affection for animals, she is especially drawn to the Touda—formidable, dragon-like creatures utilized in warfare. Soyon originally hails from the Mist People, an ancient clan distinguished by their striking green eyes. Because Erin’s late father was the son of a village chief who oversaw Touda breeding, the two reside within this specialized community, where Soyon serves as the head Touda veterinarian. Their quiet existence shatters one night when the Kiba, the Duke's most powerful Touda, dies under mysterious circumstances. This sudden tragedy irrevocably alters the course of Erin’s life, drawing her into a complex web of events that will ultimately shape the fate of the entire nation. Following her journey from childhood into adulthood, the series chronicles Erin's growth and the heavy burdens she must shoulder as she navigates a world defined by political intrigue and extraordinary beasts.
