Ancient Melody

Ancient Melody follows the journey of a remarkably grounded young boy who lives in a world where magnificent cities drift through the sky far above him. While others around him remain anchored to their everyday lives on the surface, he harbors a deep and unwavering dream of ascending to those floating metropolises. His story explores the profound longing of someone rooted to the earth yet captivated by the boundless possibilities suspended just out of reach, turning his quiet ambition into a compelling quest for discovery. The narrative was brought to life by Jonathan, an American creator whose artistic vision seamlessly blends the dynamic visual storytelling traditions of Japanese manga with the distinct cultural character of his own origins. This unique fusion gives the comic a striking identity, honoring classic manga influences while remaining deeply personal and authentically American. From the moment the premise was first introduced—a boy gazing upward at unreachable cities in the clouds—it became clear that this tale would offer something truly special to readers.
