Morte

"Morte" is a rare genetic affliction that strikes one in tens of thousands, condemning its teenage victims to an inevitable suicide. Sasha, a boy burdened by deep-seated hatred for adults and accustomed to a life of solitude, is sent to Doceo—an orphanage shrouded in secrets and unrest. His isolated existence shifts when he encounters Manon, a beautiful young woman whose unexplained injuries draw his concern. As he grows closer to her, Sasha begins to suspect that Doudou, Manon’s counselor and a sinister figure within the institution, is responsible for her suffering. Driven by a desperate need to protect her, Sasha makes a monumental decision that sets him on an irreversible path. Yet, beneath the surface of this harrowing choice lies an astonishing truth. Within the walls of the orphanage where their fates intertwine, the shadow of Morte—the unwanted curse that drives its carriers toward self-destruction—lurks closer than either could have imagined. What unfolds is a story of pure bonds forged in the depths of despair, asking whether a miracle can truly exist in a world defined by such inescapable tragedy.
