Ed is a vampire who has long chosen a life of absolute solitude, far removed from the world and its inhabitants. His isolated existence takes an unexpected turn when, acting on a sudden impulse, he discovers an abandoned child named Phil. Rather than leaving the boy behind, Ed makes the uncharacteristic decision to take him in, and the two begin sharing a home together, forging an unlikely bond between a creature of the night and a vulnerable human child. As they live side by side, Phil’s affection for his guardian blossoms naturally. Openly declaring his love for Ed, the boy forms a pure and innocent emotional attachment to the vampire, finding comfort and security in their shared life.
